Curtis Landers is 59 years old, a husband to his wife Jennifer, a father of two grown children, and someone who has dedicated nearly four decades to serving Lincoln County.
Curtis enjoys golfing, traveling, camping, hiking, playing poker, and watching sports, especially his two favorite teams, the Oregon Ducks and the Oakland (now Las Vegas) Athletics.
Some of his earliest memories are of visiting his grandparents in Lincoln County and spending camping trips on their property. They later moved to Lincoln County to retire and were living here when Curtis began his career at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Curtis graduated from Estacada High School and attended Linn Benton Community College and the University of Oregon.
At the age of 20, Curtis applied for a job at the Sheriff’s Office because he was ready to serve the community. In 1987 he began working as a Records and Property Clerk. He was later promoted to Corrections Deputy, working in the old Lincoln County Jail and witnessing construction of the new jail in 1992. He transferred to patrol in 1991 and rose steadily through the ranks, serving as Patrol Sergeant, Administrative Lieutenant, and ultimately Sheriff. Curtis served as Lincoln County Sheriff from 2016 to 2025 and ran unopposed in two elections.
